During those times when I'm going through a rough, dry, or particularly hard season, I'll hear a song that will minister to my heart. I can usually get pretty emotional and start crying to the point where nothing is left in me when I'm done. At this time in my life, I'm in one of those seasons. And Third Day's song Call My Name is one such song. I might have it on my playlist, so I strongly urge you to listen, and let your heart be ministered to as well.
It’s been so long since
You felt like you were loved
So what went wrong
But do you know
There’s a place where you belong
Here in My Arms
When you feel like you’re alone in your sadness
And it seems like no one in this whole world cares
And you want to get away from the madness
You just call My name and I’ll be there
You just call My name and I’ll be there
The pain inside
Has erased your hope for love
Soon you will find
That I’ll give you all
That your heart could ever want
And so much more
When you feel like you’re alone in your sadness
And it seems like no one in this whole world cares
And you want to get away from the madness
You just Call My Name and I’ll be there
You just Call My Name and I’ll be there
You just Call My Name
Call My name say it now
I want you to never doubt
The love I have for you is so alive
Call My name say it now
I want you to never doubt
The love I have for you is so alive
You just Call My Name
The love I have for you is so alive
The love I have for you is so alive
You just Call My Name
God, I need you. Thank you for never leaving me alone in my pain or heartache.

Happy Birthday!

Today is Christmas. This day is all about remembering how the Son of God humbled Himself and became fully man to die a sinner's death for me, and for all of the world. I never want to forget the ultimate price He paid for me. Today, when many are without food, without shelter, and without hope, may I not forget that I am blessed and that God is calling me to bless those whom the world may overlook. This is truly sharing the spirit of Christmas: Loving others the way Christ loves us; sacrificing our comfort and our time by reaching out and giving to someone who is without hope. May Jesus' birth be remembered, revered, and celebrated today. May we reach out and pour into others' lives in honor of Christ, not just today, but everyday.
Happy Birthday, Jesus. Thank you for your love and sacrifice for me. May I never forget!
